You can ask Creto to delete the data it holds about you at any time. Here's what we get from Instagram, how to ask, and what happens next.
What Creto gets from Instagram
Only creators link Instagram, to get verified. When you link your account, Creto reads it once and saves:
Your username, name and profile photo
Your account type (creator or business)
Your follower and post counts
Your top reels: their links, thumbnails and view counts
Creto never sees your Instagram password, can't post for you, and doesn't keep any access to your account after reading it.
How to ask
From Instagram
Deletes your Instagram data automatically
1
Open Instagram, go to your profile, tap the menu and choose Settings and activity.
2
Tap Website permissions, then Apps and websites.
3
Under Active, find Creto and tap Remove.
4
Send the request to delete your data when Instagram offers it.
Instagram tells Creto straight away. We delete your Instagram data, and Instagram gives you a confirmation code with a link back to this page showing it done.
By email
For your Instagram data or your whole account
Email support@creto.app from the address on your Creto account, with the subject Delete my data. Tell us whether to delete your Instagram data or your whole Creto account.
Everything Creto got from Instagram: your profile details, follower count, reels and Instagram photo. If you ask us to delete your whole account, your profile and personal details go too.
Kept
Payment, invoice and payout records the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires them.
Verified creators
Your Creto handle stays, but your follower count and reels come off your profile. Link Instagram again any time to show them.
